HOw to use improfile on an image after edge detection

Hi im new here I have a photo of gpr radagram which shows a steel bar under concrete the bar is represented by hyperbola you see in the figure I was wondering how I can get a plot of the intensity variation along the hyperbola in 2d even if use multiple line segments to define the hyperbola Also after ive gotten the points along which the hyperbola is located,through edge detection ,but in improfile it does not show the coordinates of the points so i dont know where to click on the screen in improfile PLEASE HELP
