Why are hyperbolic functions not supported on certain platforms with the Simulink Accelerator in Simulink Performance Tools 1.3 (R13)?

I simulate my Simulink model in the accelerator mode on a Windows platform with MATLAB configured to use Microsoft Visual Studio as the mex compiler. My model contains trigonometric function blocks with ASINH, ACOSH or ATANH (hyperbolic) functions selected. I receive a link error during building of the simulation target used by the accelerator.
J:\MATLAB\BIN\WIN32\MEX.PL: Error: Link of '..\mnonzerotests_featureOn_acc.dll' failed.
NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'J:\matlab\bin\win32\mex' : return code '0xff' Stop.

This issue has been fixed in Simulink Accelerator 6.0.1 (R14SP1).
If you are using a previous version, there are no workarounds.
