How can I obtain a list of database datasources?

I would like to programmatically obtain a list of database datasources such as that provided in the Visual Query Builder in the Database Toolbox.

This change has been incorporated into the documentation in Release 14 Service Pack 3 (R14SP3). For previous releases, read below for any additional information:
In order to programmatically obtain a list of database datasources, use the GETDATASOURCES function. For details on how to use it, execute:
help getdatasources
Note that GETDATASOURCES is only available with Database Toolbox.
