Why does my model run slower in Accelerator mode than in Normal mode in Simulink 6.0 (R14)?

I have a Simulink model in which Accelerator mode runs slower than Normal mode.

This bug has been fixed in Release 14 Service Pack 3 (R14SP3). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:

Accelerator mode may be slower than Normal mode if the model contains many parameters, which is the case in many SimMechanics models, for example.

For improved performance compared to Normal mode, select the option "Inline parameters" from the Optimization pane of the Configuration Parameters for the model.
