How are CPU Overloads managed in xPC Target 4.2 (R2009b)?

1 view (last 30 days)
I am using xPC Target 4.2 (R2009b). Since the Release R2008b there is a CPU Overload detection. I would like to obtain more information about how CPU overload are handled by xPC Target and what happens to the time steps when an overload occurs.

This change has been incorporated into the documentation in Release 2011a (R2011a). For previous releases, read below for any additional information:
When an overload occurs, one of two events are possible:
1) The system halts.
2) If set up to "ignore" that overload, the system just keeps running. That particual time step will be as long as it takes to finish executing, so the following time step would be delayed.
