Why is my driver file not properly saved when using MIDEDIT from the Instrument Control Toolbox 2.2 (R14SP2)?

1 view (last 30 days)
I have used the MIDEDIT command to open the Instrument Control Toolbox's Instrument Driver Editor graphical user interface. I was able to successfully create my instrument driver. When I attempt to save the driver, the driver file is not created. I receive no error messages.

This bug has been fixed in Release 14 Service Pack 3 (R14SP3). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:
There is a bug in the Instrument Control Toolbox 2.2 (R14SP2) in the way that MIDEDIT fails to properly save a created driver file when the save path of the driver file has one or more spaces.
To work around this issue, save the driver file to a directory in which the full path name to this directory does not contain any spaces.
