Why does a docked figure not expand to full view within the docked area after I have tiled them?

2 views (last 30 days)
After I tile my docked figures and select a single-figure view for these figures, the figures do not return to the single view as specified within the docked area.
For example, when I have four docked figures. Then select "Tile" in the toolbar tiles the figures. The docked figures should restore to their full size when I select "Maximize". Some figures do not return to their full size but instead remain at one quarter of the docked area.
MATLAB also becomes excessively slow when responding to switching between the docked figures.

This bug has been fixed for Release 14 SP1 (R14SP1). For previous releases, please read below for any possible workarounds:
This has been verified as a bug in MATLAB 7.0 (R14) in the way that MATLAB handles docked figures.
Currently, to work around this issue, refresh the figures by using the DRAWNOW command, or by tiling the figures and then setting back to single-figure view again.
