Is it possible to keep the Help browser from automatically opening when I start MATLAB?

When I start MATLAB, I would like to be able to prevent the Help browser from automatically opening, whether I had it open or not last time I closed MATLAB.

This enhancement has been incorporated in Release 2009a (R2009a). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:
The ability to keep the Help browser from opening even if it was open when MATLAB was last closed is not available in MATLAB. To work around this issue, close the Help browser before closing MATLAB.
