How can I eliminate the borders from the editbox uicontrol object and add borders to a textbox uicontrol in MATLAB?

The ability to eliminate the borders from the editbox uicontrol and add borders to a textbox uicontrol is not available in MATLAB.
To add borders to a textbox uicontrol, place it within a panel uicontrol, and use the panel's border.
