Is it possible to double-click on MATLAB specific files and have them open using the current MATLAB session?
For example, after starting MATLAB, I then try to double-click on a Simulink model (.mdl file). But instead of recognizing that I already have MATLAB open, it starts a new session of MATLAB. The same thing happens when I double-click on .fig, .m, or .mat files from outside MATLAB.

This enhancement has been incorporated in Release 2007a (R2007a). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:
This feature has been added in MATLAB 7.4 (R2007a).
If you are using a previous version, as a workaround, you can open MATLAB files by double-clicking on the file in the Current Directory Browser.

It doesn't work for me :( It opens a new session each time, which is really irretating. I'm using MATLAB 2012
