Why am I unable to open the PDF files for the MATLAB online documentation in Internet Explorer?

4 views (last 30 days)
When I click on the link to the PDF file for the MATLAB online documentation that I want, Adobe Acrobat Reader launches and my Web Browser looks like it is finding the file, but when it is done, nothing appears in my Web Browser. When I look at my Windows Task Manager, it says that Adobe Acrobat Reader is not running.

This problem is related to the maximum size of the PDF file allowed by your browser. Microsoft Internet Explorer does not allow the Adobe Acrobat plug-in to handle PDF files larger than 4 MB. This bug in the plug-in has been fixed in the Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0.
As a workaround, you can choose to download the online documentation PDF files by right-clicking on the link to the file you want and saving it to disk. You can then open it through Adobe Acrobat Reader.
If you are having trouble opening the PDF files in Adobe Acrobat Reader, see the related solution below.
