During working on MATLAB command window, my matlab file is replaced by a data file, because I used command 'save matlabfilename' after that I see that it became data type file in ascii format or .mat format, How can i retrieve my org. matlab file?

How to sort data file in matlab , I only want to sort 1st column in ascending order and want the other entries linked with it are automatically arranged.as 1st colum is a no other are properties of it.
