PROGRAM DECOMPOSE IMAGE,COMPRESS IT, RECONSTRUCTION IS PERFORMED.

File Information
Description

This program compress and recostruct using wavelets. We can select level of decomposition(here maximum 4 levels are given) of images using selected wavelet.
For eg:-wavelets can be haar, db1, db2,dmey...............
Decomposition can be viewed in figure.
(Please note that select 256X256 image for better result.)
Then compression can performed,
PERFL2 give compression score.
Then reconstruction can be performed.
Each decompsition we can choose different threshold values.
For each threshold value we can calculate mse,psnr,pq(picture quality),
bit ratio etc. To get pq install pqs function .

i have run your code in the matlab. it helps me much in my project. now i want to calculate the compression ratio from the compresed image from your code. how to do that? i cant understand the br(bit rates). is it possible to find the approximate compression ratio without the encoding and writting it into a file? if so, then please tell me the procedure. it will be very much helpful for me.

i run ur code in matlab. it is giving error in fwrite coz it is not locating pqs.exe, pic1.pqs & pic2.pqs. plz tell me from where shoud i get these.

can you explain your work to me about this algorithm
i mean which type of algorithms is this? what is the mechanisum of the commands work?
because all the papers of compression using wavelet talking about SPIHT,EZW and so on
if i use your algorithm in my project how can i descripe it
