imcalc

A function for converting a scanned graph into data values.

You are now following this Submission

A function for converting a scanned graph into data values. This function converts the scanned bitmap into a matrix of binary values, sums these and converts them to data values using manually entered axes limits. For complex graphs this offers a much higher resolution of data retrieval, and is more accurate.

Please note, that this was written for stratigraphic data, in which the y-axis is independant and the x-axis dependant. To use this for normal data will require some rewriting of the code.

A sample data set (with a sample image) and a descriptive text file are included.

Tested under MATLAB 5.1/5.2
