How to use the cepstrum for smoothed estimation of the spectrum of a stationary signal

| Watch this File

File Information
Description

This is the original implementation of the cepstrum thresholding technique for nonparametric estimation of smooth spectra introduced in:

P. Stoica and N. Sandgren. Smoothed nonparametric spectral estimation via cepstrum thresholding, IEEE Sign. Proc. Mag., vol. 23, pp. 34-45, Nov 2006.

The exchange files contains another implementation by Dr. S. Lutes, but according to our experience our original implementation has better performance.

I'm trying to get the code to run on my laptop, but i'm not able to recognize the input data y, and also mu. Please clarify what y to use and what is mu value is needed

Hi, Niclas Sandgren,I also find the same problem with Phil, could you tell me what the mu vlaue is? I don't download the corresponding paper written by you, thank you very much!

Hi, all. Has anybody m-file for cepstral mean subtraction (CMS) algorithm ? Thanx

I get an all-NaN result for some real-world data. What constraints do I need to obey to avoid this? Also: it would be nice to provide some input validation and a more transparent implementation.
