Estimates the perimeter of a binary image

Description

Estimates the perimeter of a single digital shape, using the Koplowitz & Bruckstein's algorithm. (http://doi.ieeecomputersociety.org/10.1109/34.24795)

The input image shall be a binary image (if not: it will be converted
using a threshold of 0.5) of the contour (8-connectivity) of a single shape with no 'branches'. If any branches exist they will be removed.

Please note: Two estimator are presented in Koplowitz and Bruckstein's
paper. This one is the implementation of the first one.

im working on grading of food grains using image processing technique, for which i m using edge detetction technique n i'll find perimeter after that i'll provide grading of each sample.
