Description

Matlab source code for the test vectors and Simulink model for physical layer. This model is based on Physical Layer Specification of IEEE 802.16e and ETSI HiperMAN. Run Data.m to copy data to workspace and then run the WiMAX model.

The parameter 'Power of alpha' bug was fixed in R2007b but if you are running earlier version please use Mathworks website, select advanced search and search for Power of Alpha by checking results in Bug Reports only and you will find the solution, alternatively visit this site: http://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/details.html?rp=362401

I have sent the required files to Olga Zlydareva by email already, so just follow the instructions and enjoy.

As I have been receiving emails to send the documentation of the WiMAX model, I don't think there is any need for the document as the model is self explanatory and anyone can understand the stages and processes being carried out in the model

Those of you who have been asking for the report of this model, this model is published in the IET Conference Proceedings held in India January 11-12, 2008 with Title: The IET International Conference on Wireless, Mobile and Multimedia Networks.

This model is explained at page 117 of the publication.

hi nadeem
you mention this model as 802.16e but what measures you have taken to simulate effects of mobility?
because channel that you have taken is simply AWGN channel , for which we can just set signal to noise ratio.
in this model you have not considered relative speed between base and mobile station and Doppler shift caused by it .
so is it 802.16d or 802.16e simulation ?
please reply as soon as possible .

the block normalize it is ok? cause i think u dont need to multiple by the constant k as u have already take in accout in the file data when u did the contellation. and which is the sense of the block conj? also i dont aprecciate changes if u delete it.

anyone knows why in the RS-Decoder(the 1st selector)has [2:40,1]
i guessed that 1:4 is redundant information and 5:40 data, so i cant imagine why it is like that, and if u change it, it doesnt work...

after investigating a lot about this file i have to say that it has a lot of failures, so dont expect to get a right simulation. otherwise is good to begin, but dont trust 100% in every block

I find there are many errors in the RS Decoder Integer-output and Integer-input. Does anybody can tell me how to debug it?

i am not able to run data.m file.error Undefined function or method 'gf' for input arguments of type 'double'.

Error in ==> Data at 10.pls let me know what is gf

about the rs-decoder,
1)change the order, first data and then redundant data (with a selector)
2)pad at the end so u have ur redundant data after the byte 239, then pad at the beginning until 259
3)then take just the data after the rs decoder

I am thinking to make a thesis with scheduling algorithms for wimax with matlab. It is possible. Download the book WiMAX Technologies, Performance Analysis, and QoS, Edited by SYED AHSON and MOHAMMAD ILYAS from ttp://www.freebookspot.org. There are ideas for algorithms. I am looking for a matalab example, maybe ethernet. Please if you have news about this, pleas share with me and conversely. Let me hear your comments.
