Matlab Implementations of SCM

Description

It is developed mainly for SCM in pattern classification domain. This version is a well tested release of SCM.The main reference is from this paper: The Set Covering Machine,http://jmlr.csail.mit.edu/papers/volume3/marchand02a/marchand02a.pdf,the author would like to thank Edward Dale for his python implementation of SCM.

• MATLAB release: MATLAB 7.5 (R2007b)
• Other requirements: It is build under Windows XP SP2 MATLAB 7.5, but it should also works in other MATLAB version

1) It doesn't work:

??? File "C:\Documents and Settings\millers\My Documents\Statistics\SCM - Set Covering Machines - matlab\PSCM\makeBalls.p" not recognizable as a P-file.

2) You may not be aware of it, but submitting files without source to the MATLAB file exchange (FEX) is considered very rude. The file exchange is for sharing files, not hiding them.

If I had to rate this now, it would be "poor." Rather than hurt your ratings, I'm submitting this as a general comment. I will be happy to rate the software in the future when it is in better shape.

Hi Scott, it should work without any problem in MATLAB 7.5. I'm sorry that I have to protect the source code, because they are copyrighted under a research grant not public available. I give this for those people who just use it as a useful tool. I think I'll add more functions to this toolbox in the near future.Thanks for your comments.I'm really sorry about this inconvenience.
