Microridge Gageway Interface

A demonstration of the Gageway serial port interface for Mitutoyo indicators

Description

MicroRidge sells a product called GageWay that allows you to read a Mitutoyo linear encoder through a serial (or USB) port on your computer. The serial port commands are very straight forward, but it took me a couple of tries to get the port settings right so I figured I'd post them. The function provided just sets up the serial ports and returns the current encoder value when asked for.
