bht_step1, bht_step2

Step functions.

Syntax

[x,dtx,dttx] = bht_step1(t,epsilon,h)
[x,dtx,dttx] = bht_step2(t,epsilon,h)

Description

These functions return the values x of the 2*pi-periodic, twice continuously step functions ploted below, evaluated at the point t. The other output variables dtx and dttx correspond respectively to the first and second derivatives of the functions. Both bht_step1 and bht_step2 are called by the function bht_round_rectangle. The input variable epsilon is a smooting parameter (it set how much the angles are rounded and has to be within the interval ]0,1]) and h is the steps' height.
