This function let's yo manage(show & hide) easily the elements in your GUI.

hightlight_example(varargin)
function varargout = hightlight_example(varargin)
% HIGHTLIGHT_EXAMPLE M-file for hightlight_example.fig
% HIGHTLIGHT_EXAMPLE, by itself, creates a new HIGHTLIGHT_EXAMPLE or raises the existing
% singleton*.
%
% H = HIGHTLIGHT_EXAMPLE returns the handle to a new HIGHTLIGHT_EXAMPLE or the handle to
% the existing singleton*.
%
% HIGHTLIGHT_EXAMPLE('CALLBACK',hObject,eventData,handles,...) calls the local
% function named CALLBACK in HIGHTLIGHT_EXAMPLE.M with the given input arguments.
%
% HIGHTLIGHT_EXAMPLE('Property','Value',...) creates a new HIGHTLIGHT_EXAMPLE or raises the
% existing singleton*. Starting from the left, property value pairs are
% applied to the GUI before hightlight_example_OpeningFunction gets called. An
% unrecognized property name or invalid value makes property application
% stop. All inputs are passed to hightlight_example_OpeningFcn via varargin.
%
% *See GUI Options on GUIDE's Tools menu. Choose "GUI allows only one
% instance to run (singleton)".
