%%%INPUT
%%%X, Y - both are strings e.g. 'test' or 'stingtocompare'
%%%OUTPUT
%%%D is the substring over the length of the shortest string
%%%dist is the length of the substring
%%%aLongestString is a sting of length dist (only one of potentially many)
