f.m - given function - file to modify by the user!

Yes sure, in order to find maximum just multiply your function by -1 and find minimum of it. Then just remember to multiply your result back again by -1. Maximizing a function is equivalent to minimizing its negative

Hi, I have used golden section method algorithm matlab code. But only calculate minimum point. Can golden section method algorithm matlab code calculate maximum code?

Thanks for comment! I am not disappointed :) I know that this method already exists in matlab but never used it.
The reason why I uploaded it here is that I had university task to implement it on my own, not using ready script, and I thought it might be helpful for somebody else.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but the golden section method is already in standard MATLAB: type "doc fminbnd" in the MATLAB command prompt.
