This script is a GUI to generate an animated gif from images. Time between images can be set. And a compression rate that set gif size from original images.
Can be used to generate animations from graphs taking different images from it.
Thanks for your comment John. I dind't take care of that kind of things before because It worked fine on all my computers and they have different Matlab releases.
I will make things better from now on.
I'm working right now on trying to avoid the use of Image Proccesing toolbox and on the use of globals.
The point of Matthew's comment is not that MATLAB is required, but that you have failed to tell anyone that there is at least one toolbox required, one that not everyone may have. Have you used any functions in this code that are in some toolbox? (Yes.) The important question is, do you really need that tool you used? It prevents many people from using this utility.
As for globals being used in this code, they are a bit of a crutch here. So why not learn to write better code?
I had added MATLAB as required product. Please, Mathew, be more specific, Did it throw an error to you? What error?
On next releases I will improve the use of globals and other things, now is just a fast way of solving the problem.
Really bad submission. Required products? globals. Didn't work. Nuff said.
I have tried the gif generator with *.jpg *.bmp and *.tiff formats. It works fine with *.jpg and *.tiff but with *.bmp It generates a black and white animeted gif.
One reported troubleshoting occurs when you try to load images one by one. You have to load all images for the gif at once.
A bug was reported when aborting saving.
Now no global variables are being used. Also it can be used without Image Processing Toolbox. Image Processing toolbox allows to resize final gif.
Added MATLAB as product required.
Now a save dialog opens allowing to save final file on diferent directory than current directory.
Sorry, I forget to include two images for arrow up and arrow down.
Change of the slider that set the time between images for a text edit with two buttons. This allows to make a better adjust of the time between images.
I have fixed some problems when no files are loaded, and also compability with grayscaled images.
