Tired of making good simulation and only getting poor, low quality graphs for your reports?
Figtopdf is a small Matlab function that saves the current figure as a Pdf image. It is quick to use and doesn't require any other m-file or other programs.
Pdf images have lot of advantages over usual .jpeg, .png or other image file formats. First of all, it uses vector graphics so the quality of the image is independent of it's resolution. You can zoom as much as you want, the Pdf image will keep the same quality.
For graphs, the size of the Pdf image is ridiculously small. Average results i got was around 10-20 Ko for a Pdf image compared to ~200 Ko for the same Jpeg image.
Pdf images can be included to Latex reports just the same way as you do for Jpeg images, without any other packages needed. Pdf images can also be added to .doc, .docx or other usual word document formats. |
