A small 'toolbox' (it's just three files) for the estimation of the optimum number of clusters in a 2D dataset trough Tibshirani, Walther and Hastie's gap statistic algorithm (2001). The code is fully commented, so you should have no problem understanding it. If you have any troubles or questions, feel free to contact me. Further details are in a READ ME text file included in the package. Live long and prosper.
