This is the solution to one of the exercises in the electronic textbook, "Numerical Computing with MATLAB®", by Cleve Moler. The book, and more programs, are available from http://www.mathworks.com/moler. A hardcopy edition of the book will be available from SIAM later in 2004.

I cut & pasted to MATLAB Command window and got this error message...
??? function biorhythm(birthday,plotday)
    |
Error: Function definitions are not permitted at the prompt or in scripts.

I am new to MATLAB,What can I do to fix it?
