Finds DICOM files in specified folder and subfolders

filelist = findDicomFiles(PATH, SEARCHSUBFOLDER)

Searches the specified path for DICOM files. Filename extension is not used, a file is considered a DICOM file if byte 128-131 equals DICM. Output is a cell array that contains the full path to each file. Searches subfolders by default.

PATH - Directory to search (string).
SEARCHSUBFOLDER - Optional, determines if subfolders are searched (true/false) default is true.

Example:
FINDDICOMFILES('C:\MedData\')
ans =

'C:\MedData\BoringKneeImage.IMA'
'C:\MedData\NewData\aSliceOfMyBrain.DCM'
