| Description |
* Based on IEEE 802.15.3a multiband OFDM proposal (Sept 2003 version)
* End-to-end physical layer (streaming mode)
* Highest mandatory data rate (200 Mb/s)
* QPSK modulation, rate-5/8 forward error correction coding (convolutional + puncturing)
* OFDM transmission: 122 subcarriers, 22 pilots, 128-pt FFTs, zero prefix, guard period
* Fixed-point model of OFDM TX/RX (16-, 12-, 10-, and 8-bit)
* 2x spreading across sub-bands
* Data interleaving
* PLCP preamble (packet sync, frame sync, and channel estimation)
* Viterbi decoding
* Mode 1 frequency hopping (3 bands)
* Includes channel model used in IEEE 802.15.3a group.
Instructions:
1. Unzip/copy all files into a writable folder.
2. Start MATLAB, either R13 SP1 (v6.5.1) or R14 (v7.0).
3. Change directory to above folder.
4. Change subdirectory to either r13sp1 (for MATLAB v6.5.1) or r14 (for MATLAB v7.0).
5. Open uwb.mdl (double click on file in Current Directory pane).
6. The first time the model runs, it will automatically generate four .mat files. (These channel model files are required to run the model.)
