Plaque Detector

Detect and record cell culture plaques

You are now following this Submission

Cell culture plaque experiments are used to determine titers and growth rates of viruses and other intracellular pathogens. Taking in a scan of a cell culture plate, plaqueDetector helps the researcher to automatically detect, count, and calculate the metrics of cell culture plaques and normalize these metrics to the circular well they are detected in. Output includes a structure array where each entry represents a well and includes a list of plaque centers, radii, areas, well-normalized radii, and well-normalized areas, as well as a figure of the input image overlayed with numbered well and plaque outlines.
