Reserves are created through pitch angle control (Deloading Control) for frequency regulation by reducing the power coefficient value. Power coefficient Cp is a function of tip speed ratio and pitch angle. To change the value of Cp, pitch angle is varied. Lookup table for pitch offset and percentage of deloading is developed. Look for pitch control block diagram inside the frequency regulation mask. PI controllers and feedback paths can be added to tune the response of pitch angle control. Since we are using constant wind speed as input, such complexity is not required.
