File Information
Description

Call:

F=subplane(Z)

Z is typically a tilted topographical AFM data matrix (double), i.e. the structures were scanned on an inclined plane.

F = flat data, slope removed

Provides an option to select the substrate plane manually, a frequent problem in analysis of AFM images. At least three different points should be selected by mouse clicking. The subtracted plane is drawn through selected data points in the sense of least squares.
