| Description |
MOSAIC creates a photomosaic from your collection of photos.
To use mosaic, type mosaic at the command prompt. Then, create thumbnails of your image database (you can use uithumb) and select the directory in the menu. Now select your base image. Last, specify your desired output size and the amount of color correction and blending with the original image you want. Finally, click start. When the image appears, you can export it using the menu in the figure window, or click on the save icon in the mosaic window.
Tests with a database of 1400, 133 x 100 images produced a 4000 x 3000 image in roughly 11 minutes on a pentium 4 2.2MHz processor. The algorithm can be sped up if a more elegant search method is implemented. Who knows, I may produce one in the future. |
