A new, improved way to graphically change a 3d viewing angle

File Information
Description

This function adds to the arguably cluttered field of 3d-plot view-rotation functions. However, I feel that this one is an improvement over current offerings because of its intuitive interface, one that almost *always* responds as you expect it to when you move the mouse. Also, unlike Matlab's canned version, it continues to display the graphics as the image is rotated.

Clickmove utilizes doublebuffering as well as the figure's userdata. And, of course, it cleans up after itself.

Editor's Note: Some of the limitations addressed by this file, such as allowing you to view the plot while it's animated, have been addressed in the Camera Toolbar available under the View menu in MATLAB 6.0 and later.

MATLAB release MATLAB 5.3 (R11)
Other requirements Tested only on Win 98 and up.

Very nice indeed! You are right, I like it better than rotate3d. Only the axes scaling keeps irritating me. I would like it a lot more than rotate3d if axes scaling would change continuously.

Prior to invoking CLICKMOVE, issuing the command: AXIS OFF TIGHT, fixes the problem noted by Christian Liedtke (many thanks to Matthew Simoneau!). CLICKMOVE is similar to VIEW3D, and also very nice.
