This is a set of MATLAB functions designed for the development of a standard image quality scale for printer-output macro uniformity.
The index.html file (after downloading & unzipping) contains a detailed description of functions, such as, banding sweep, random streaking, random 2d noise, as well as, spatial Fermi masks and human visual system contrast sensitivity weighting.
These functions were designed by the "INCITS W1.1 - Image Quality for Printer Systems Macro-uniformity Ad Hoc Group" and written in MATLAB by me, Nathir A. Rawashdeh, under the direction of my advisor, Dr. K. D. Donohue, at the University of Kentucky.
These functions can be used to simulate banding, streaking, grain and mottle. The demo image here includes various such defect patterns, masked and additively combined.
