24 Sep 2014 GPUBench Compare GPUs using standard numerical benchmarks in MATLAB. Author: Parallel Computing Team

@Fabio: This is on a Macbook Pro Late 2013, 2.3 Ghz, 16 GB. See last two rows. Seems only the FFT double-precision is faster than the CPU (about twice as fast). \ and * are much slower. Pretty crippled performance ...
Apple should have used the Quadro K1100M (same physical chip as the 750M without the crippled double-precision). From the looks of it, it's not really worth the effort of coding for the GPU on the MBP with 750M. You can just stick with the CPU. Problem is that if you want to buy the MBP without the 750M but with the same CPU, you end up paying the same price (at least that was the case back in May when I bought it).

14 Nov 2013 Draw a filled circle Plots a filled circle with given radius, center and color. Author: Sadik

I know this is old but I wanted to note that it can be done easier and faster as follows:

t = 2*pi/N*(1:N);
fill(c(1)+r*cos(t), c(2)+r*sin(t), color);

Also note that you don't need both 0 and 2pi (they are the same polar point). Your code actually generates N+1 points.

[ depending on N, the above can be substantially faster than using linspace() + ones() + pol2cart() ]

27 Oct 2013 savefig Save *cropped* figures to pdf, eps, png, jpeg, and tiff through Ghostscript. Author: Peder Axensten

This now conflicts with 'savefig' which is included in Matlab R2013b

06 Aug 2013 export_fig Exports figures nicely to a number of vector & bitmap formats. Author: Oliver Woodford

Great package. You can safely detect Ghostscript under Windows by reading the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Artifex\GPL Ghostscript" (if 64bit) or "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Artifex\GPL Ghostscript" (if 32bit).

Use Matlab's winqueryreg() function or execute "reg" via system() to read the Windows registry.

Keep up the good work!
