i really need some help over here..i have connected and run my stepper motor but how come i cannot control the speed of my motor?..can someone give me some hints?

i want to ask about the interface with arduino and matlab..i am now trying to get the data from potentiometer which is attached at my stepper motor shaft..can anybody tell me how to get the data from potentiometer through arduino board to my computer(MATLAB) and try to plot the graph at the same time?..i have the code to plot the graph but i cant run both files at the same..
either i run my motor or get data from potentiometer by turning the potentiometer myself..so how do i solve this??..
Thanks Takashi i already make it work, the main issue was that matlab/simulink 2012a request to add NXT support via "ECRobotInstaller – Simplified installation" in order to recognize all the files, after the instalation also need the "Simulink.data.upgradeClasses" command to update the system after all that is when it work
prety complicated design , just the simulink model give me an error on matlab/simulink2012
