@Hussain - I agree - cell mode would be nice. Not sure how to add a slim line above but I did make a change so the cell delimeter (%% ) would make the line bold. Just change the follwing lines (starting at line 198) from this:

I am running into issues when using the PRINT command as follows:

print(fig,'-depsc2','-r600',fname.eps)

It creates the eps fine but the legend boxes are not in th eproper location. I can fix that be setting the figure PaperPositionMode to 'auto', but I like to have the flexibility of resizing before I print. Also, sometimes (like with a single row legends, the end of the text is clipped by the legend box.

Pascal,
Could you comment on the differences between your function and what comes with the image processing toolbox? Specifically, for the same XYZ values, why do I get different results using colorspace as compared to makecform and applycform? Are there arguments to makecform that would yield results consistent with colorspace? As an example, I have been using Spectral and XYZ Color Functions (http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/7021-spectral-and-xyz-color-functions) and in the function spectrumRGB I have replaced the makecform and applycform calls with a call to colorspace and comparing the results.
