14 Jan 2009 Plot 3D Color Line Plots a 3D line with color encoding along the length using the patch function. Author: Daniel Ennis

With vector color data (input arg 'c') it seems to divide up the line into 3rds. This is on 2008b

Any thoughts?

14 Jan 2009 txt2mat fast and versatile ascii data import capable of handling large text files Author: Andres

Wondering if there's a way to get the program to recognize and import data in the header line. For instance, if you have the test conditions as header lines, like this:

nTimeInc, 1001, TotalTime, 400
ForcingFreq, 40, ForcingAmp, 15
T, X, Y, Z, Theta, Zeta
0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1.0
0.4, 1.2, 0, 0, 0.01, 1.2
....

So, the header files have some useful info that would be nice to have accessible and can be added to plots and analysis.

Any thoughts?

07 Jan 2009 Fast RGB2HSV Flexible, fast and memory-efficient extension of RGB2HSV Author: Alexander Ihlow

Really great on R14, WinXP. No problems. More than quartered the computation time by using 'single' and by only working with the 'V'.

Use this if you want to convert color images to BW images, and use the 'V' setting to get the value of each pixel in the HSV system.

Ah sh!t... my bad. I figured that the code was probably simple enough to not really be useful, but I couldn't find anything in the MatLab Help, or on File Exchange, so thought it might be useful for someone. Guess I have to work on the search engine in my head...

Roossien: Don't be too hard on the guy. Haven't we all been there, painstakingly creating a new great function, only to subsequently find a standard function that does the same thing?

10 Jul 2007 GetExtension Gets the extension of a file. Author: John McArthur Roossien, B.

The build in Matlab function 'fileparts' does all the work for you. Why bother putting such a (trivial) function on the File Exchange?

11 Dec 2006 Text File IO for Non-uniform Data Takes a non-uniform text file and imports it similar to Excel import function. Author: John McArthur Idiz, Abi

This is similar with what I need.
But I really need the programs that I can take the data from serial port (COM port) which have different header, and I can plot it in eachother
