Personal Profile:

I am interested in East Antarctic ice streams and glaciers. My current work is toward constraining uncertainty in projections of the East Antarctic Ice Sheet's contribution to sea level rise.

Specialties:
Seismic imaging, radioglaciology, ice dynamics, gravity, mathematical modelling. I also have some experience with the acoustics of gas hydrates and oceanic methane bubbles.

Very cool idea! One cautionary comment: I'm one of the 5 to 10% of scientists who is mildly colorblind, and I cannot distinguish between colors 3 and 6 in the distinguishable_colors image shown above.

Oliver: I have used the keep function for years, but I have always thought it was poorly named. Matlab will always keep your variables unless you tell it to do something else with them. It took me years to find the keep function on FEX because I never searched for the word 'keep'. I still have the darndest time remembering the function name because my thought process is typically that I want to clear all variable except a few. In other words, clearing comes to mind first, and then I think about keeping. This function is intuitively named and can be found easily using Function Hints. That is, I can type "clear" and tab to find "clearnot".

Excellent catch, Rebecca! I've updated the function to include Newton's corrections for the quantum gases as you suggested. The new version now also accepts arrays as inputs. The improved function will be up as soon as the File Exchange administrators approve it. Thanks for sharing your expertise!

As a Chemical Engineering student, I've found this to be a great help. My only issue (after only using this a few times) is that Newton's Corrections weren't taken into consideration for helium and hydrogen. (Tc adjusted = Tc + 8K ; Pc adj = Pc + 8.106 bar) Otherwise, choice function!
