Glad it was helpful! I am aware of your problem but can't think of an easy way to fix it. I based the function on the MATLAB built-in comet.m so it carries over all of those issues. I'd just use it for rough visualization within MATLAB

20 Jun 2013 Log Multivariate Normal Distribution Function outputs log likelihood array for series of observations x where x_n ~ N(mu,Sigma) Author: Benjamin Dichter

When working in high-dimensional space, pdf values tend to be low. They can often be so low that doubles lack the precision to represent them so mvnpdf(x,mu,sigma) would break. To work around this problem, you take the log of the equation for the normal pdf, instead of just running log on the output of pdf as you suggest. For high pdf values where breaking is not a problem, this is equivalent. However, you will see that for very low pdf values, log(mvnpdf(x,mu,sigma)) breaks whereas my code does not. This is one of the major benefits of working with log pdf instead of just plain old pdf.

23 Oct 2012 Matlab Daemon A Bash script & Mex program which allows for #!-style scripting against a background Matlab session. Author: Joshua Dillon

I'm having trouble using this. I followed your README and when I type ./demo.m I get the following error: "readlink: illegal option -f
usage: readlink [-n] [file ...]" Any ideas?

Thank you, this has been very useful for making a simulation of the dynamics of vortices in BEC's for my thesis. But I was wondering, is there any way to keep the tails when saving the figure?
