Library to handle 3D geometric primitives: create, intersect, display, and make basic computations

I'm trying to use surfToMesh and then meshSurfaceArea function to calculate the approximate area covered by the dots with X and Y coordinates specified on X-Y plane. However, the area returns the value that does not make sense to me. I wonder if it's possible for me to attach the matrix here and get some help why it does not work in my code. The dots I have represents nearly a semi-circle and the result gives me the area close to a full circle of that diameter. Is there some tolerance setting on meshing? Thank you very much!
