I think the locations for the words MATH and PLOT should be (4,1) and (1,3) respectively. They are given as (5,1) and (1,4) in the example given on the rules page.
Just a thought - and due to limited skills I have never entered a MATLAB contest, nor will I - many of the MATLAB contests involve problems that seem to be of little use to numerics, pure or applied science or engineering.
Might it not be better to try to develop contest problems that are still challenging and accessible but whose solutions might be of broader interest afterwards?
