Personal Profile:

VIVEK MUKHOPADHYAY received his S.M. and Sc.D. degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1970 and 1972. He was awarded the President of India Gold Medal and B.Tech. degree at the Indian Institute of Technology, in 1968. He is presently a Senior Aerospace Engineer at NASA Langley Research Center, Aeronautical Systems Analysis Branch, Systems Analysis and Concepts Directorate.

His prior positions include Assistant Professor, Indian Institute of Technology; Research Specialist, Planning Research Corporation; Adjunct Associate Professor, George Washington University, Joint Institute for Advancement of Flight Sciences; Senior Aerospace Engineer, Aeroelasticity Branch, Aeroelastic Analysis and Optimization and Systems Analysis Branch at NASA Langley.

Professional Interests:
Aeroelasticity, robust control, aerospace vehicle design
