01 Sep 2012 MatlabBGL MatlabBGL provides robust and efficient graph algorithms for Matlab using native data structures. Author: David Gleich

EXCELENT!
I had a 4.7 Giga bytes square matrix of 229 million rows/cols to process
The 'component' function processed this monster matrix, 'out of the box', in only 44 seconds.

I rated 5 stars with this only test, after less than an hour of use, but it has put an end to weeks of unsuccesful trials to process this data set.

10 Feb 2012 Fit all valid parametric probability distributions to data ALLFITDIST Fit all valid parametric probability distributions to data. Author: Mike Sheppard

Does not work on Matlab 7.7
(Or I misunderstood how to use it)

>> [D, PD] = allfitdist(randn(1000,1)) ;
??? Error using ==> allfitdist at 238
No distributions were found

02 Jul 2010 MATLAB read/write/control Excel What XLSREAD and XLSWRITE do under the hood Author: George Thiers

This is more a tuto than a library or software.
Still, this just was what I needed to get the keys of easy communication with Excel

21 Jun 2010 Polygon Clipper Given two arbitrary polygons, the routine calculates the resulting polygon ... Author: Sebastian Hölz

Works great. (Malab 7.4.0, XP 32 bit)

04 May 2010 Functions for the rectangular assignment problem This package provides m- and mex-functions for solving the rectangular assignment problem. Author: Markus Buehren

Excellent !
I especially like the easy-to-use MEX files, and the outstanding test file.
I could optimize my problem beyond my best hope.

I was not able to compile using Matlab 2014a, Windows 7, Windows 7.1 SDK Visual C++ 2010 SP1 compiler, 64-bit. It didn't like the 'warning' message on line 1205 and returned "fatal error C1021: invalid preprocessor command 'warning'". I commented that out. There are a lot of warnings about possible loss of data with converting data types (compiler warning C4244). I think that the main error with the code is how the matlab_alloc or some of its variables are declared with possibly being read-only or illegal construct or something like that since I get a compiler message "see reference to function template instantiation" for lines 245, 252, 259, 266, 273, 280, 287, 294, 301... that those lines are being compiled with DATA = whatever datatype was specified there. I'm not sure about having all those different switches for the different data types, I think there may be an issue with that...
