Personal Profile:

I received the B.Sc. Engineering degree (First class) in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2007. In 2011, I completed my Ph.D at University of Surrey, in the UK,supported by the Overseas Research Scholarships Award (ORSAS) of the Higher Education Funding Council of England to pursue his PhD. I am the recipient of the 2009 IEEE "Chester W. Sall Award" for the 2nd best transaction paper in IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics. I am also the recipient of the Vice Chancellors Award for the Postgraduate Research Student of the year 2011 of the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Surrey. Currently I am working on 3D and multiview video processing, coding, transmission and 3D QoE related issues and have more than 25 publications on these areas. Currently I am a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at University of Surrey, UK.

Thanks Hamid, this code is very helpful as a starting point.

However, I have a doubt in your calculation of individual channel SNR's after SC allocation.

In the program channel SNR = Pt / CSI^2, for fourth image.

however, shouldn't it be SNR = Pt*CSI^2/ variance of AWGN ?

Yes, I tried your data, and it seems in the CC estimation it divides by zero. I couldnt find a quick way out. I will do so and return later

Hi Jason,

The Ghost artifacts are due to the imperfections of the depth maps. The depth maps may not necessarily align with the color image edges.

Further, such artifacts are due to the hole filling problems that are inherent with DIBR systems. However you may reduce the disparity so that you have less holes.

I suspect the problem Rita and Michael were having is that their data describes a decreasing logistic and the program is set up to do an increasing logistic. I just uploaded a non-GUI fit_logistic function and at first it failed with Rita's data, too. Fortunately, it is an easy fix by making the time series negative.
