FEATool Multiphysics (https://www.featool.com) is a fully integrated Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) MATLAB Toolboxes for modeling and simulation of fully coupled systems of PDEs, physics and engineering applications with the finite element method (FEM). I am originally from the Puglia region, in south-east Italy. I have received both Laurea (EE, 1996 with a period at Strathclyde University) and PhD (Robotics and Automation, 2000, with a period at Georgia Tech) from the University of Pisa, Italy. From 2000 to 2008 I have been a faculty member at West Virginia University. My research involved control of nonlinear and adaptive control systems, system identification, fault tolerance, machine vision, and sensor fusion, mostly applied to UAVs. I have published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles in international journals and conferences, and a couple of book chapters. I have been working for MathWorks since January 2009 for MathWorks, covering different roles, first in the Los Angeles office and then in Natick (MA). Since 2019 I am responsible for the documentation of the Reinforcement Learning and Model Predictive Control toolboxes.

Ben Barrowes received the Ph.D. degree in 2004 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA. He was named top high school math student in the state of Utah (1991), was awarded an NSF graduate fellowship (1999), was a Director's funded Postdoc at Los Alamos National Laboratory (2004), and was named Innovator of the Year for the Army Corps of Engineers (2019). Currently, he is a physicist with the US Army ERDC Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory and is the author or coauthor of over 150 scientific publications. Pierre Giroux worked for over 30 years as a senior engineer at IREQ real-time simulator. His work includes design, real-time simulation, and testing of controllers for HVDC systems, FACTS controllers, and power quality devices. He also performed the design, implementation, and testing of several MATLAB/SPS models. He has wide experience in the preparation and presentation of technical seminars and training on Power and Control Systems. He is currently pursuing his activities as a consultant.

Daniel Auger is Professor of Electrification, Modelling and Control at Cranfield University. He is an expert in control systems, vehicle electrification and modelling. He has pioneered advanced battery management algorithms for lightweight lithium-sulfur batteries. He has also introduced new state-of-the-art MSc teaching in applied control engineering and launched a new course in connected and autonomous vehicle engineering. Before joining Cranfield, Daniel worked in senior control engineering roles in BAE Systems and MathWorks Consulting Services.
