I appreciate the effort, unfortunately I could not get this to work myself. I ended up having good luck with the "Real-Time Pacer for Simulink" block:

Should I change the "Time Scaling Factor" to adapt it to work in "Real Time"?
With "1" it works to slow and with "0" it works to fast... How can I adjust the correct value?

In rtc_example.mdl, when i set the solver setting to fixed step size and discrete time, and sample time to (1/70), it does not work in real time, do you have an idea to fix this?

i have try to run your file and it's work fine. but the problem is, the simulation run to slow compare to real time after i add your function in my simulink project.
the question is, can i make it run faster so it run same as real time ? and how to make it.

Harrison, if you are not using a Windows 32-bit system, you need to execute "mex sfun_time.c" to generate the MEX-file. Note that if you never used MEX before, you will need to execute "mex -setup" to choose a compiler.

Error in S-function 'rtc_example/Soft Real Time': S-Function 'sfun_time' does not exist.

How can i solve this problem ?
I have already linked to directory on the MATLAB path.

You will get an error if you are using an version of MATLAB older than R2008b. SimMechanics Visualization has been completly redesigned in MATLAB R2008b. The model uses new features available only since R2008b and because of that it is not compatible with earlier versions.

Hello Guy,

I intend to build a full car model of active suspension that will be controlled by fuzzy logic in simmechanics, I want to make your model as the basis of my model since your model is pretty great. However, I still confused on some parts. Can you give me any suggestion which parts of your model should I remove? And where I can add the fuzzy controller box.Please give me explanation. Your help is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Alan - what release are you using? This was made for R2008b and greater. Guy may be able to save back to the version you are using. Note this file does require SimMechanics.

Model wouldn't load for me, quite a few warnings:
generated with a newer version (7.2) of Simulink
block_diagram does not have a parameter named 'SampleTimeAnnotations'.
Value 'Nonadaptive' is incompatible to parameter 'ZeroCrossAlgorithm'.
does not have a parameter named 'UpdateFromCAD'
does not have a parameter named 'BodyVisualizationType'
does not have a parameter named 'BodyColorSelMode'
does not have a parameter named 'DefaultBodyColor'

Did anyone else have these issues?
