Olin Robotics Blockset/Sick/Utilities

 

 

Description

 

Converts raw measurement data from the Sick LMS291 sensor into corresponding X and Y coordinates for the specified angular range and resolution and plots them in a MATLAB figure window. 

 

This block is for use only on the host machine, not an xPC Target PC.  This block can be fed data using the UDP Receive block.  The Sick LMS291 Data Display Demo from the Olin Robotics Blockset/Demos library illustrates the use of this block.

 

 

Block Parameters:

 

Angular Range/Resolution: Select the angular range and resolution of the data that is being sent by the sensor.

 

 

Addendum:

 

A model using this block may fail to run and mention a “Flagcount” variable in the error.  This error may be resolved by closing all open models, reopening just the model containing the Data Display block and then updating or running the model.  Then proceed working as before.  This is a bug in MATLAB 2007a that is being worked on by development for a future release.
