MathWorks - Wavelet Toolbox

The Wavelet Toolbox provides a comprehensive collection of routines for examining local, multiscale, and nonstationary phenomena. Wavelet methods offer additional insight and performance in any application where Fourier techniques have been used. The Wavelet Toolbox is useful in many signal processing applications, including speech and audio
processing, communications, geophysics, finance, and medicine.

The YAWTb, or "Yet Another Wavelet Toolbox", is a toolbox written for MATLAB (project for Scilab and Octave are planned). The aim of this toolbox is to provide a clear and well documented implementation of various transformations like the 1D & 2D Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT), the Spatio-Temporal CWT, the Spherical CWT and the 1D/2D Wavelet Packets (other extensions can be added). The YAWtb is released under the General Public License (GPL) which means that this project is free, open, and people interested in its development are welcome.

wav2 function implements the tree structured wavelet transform of the input matrix, up to the given level of decomposition. Wav2 uses another function called wav1, which takes the well known wavelet transform of the given matrix. Daubechies wavelet coefficients are used for wavelet transform operation which is saved in wavcoeff.mat.
